AVOID THE 3PM SLUMP
Ever noticed how a lot of office workers hit a wall around 3pm?
Coffee stops working, focus disappears and suddenly you’re looking for something sugary just to get through the rest of the afternoon.
Most people assume it’s just part of a busy working day.
But quite often it’s simply because the body hasn’t done anything physical all day.
Hours of sitting means the muscles that should be supporting your posture aren’t doing much work. Circulation slows down, breathing becomes shallow and the body gradually shifts into energy-saving mode.
By the middle of the afternoon your brain is basically running on fumes.
One of the most reliable ways to break that cycle is regular strength training.
When you train your muscles properly a couple of times a week, the body adapts in ways people don’t always expect.
Circulation improves, posture becomes easier to maintain and energy levels tend to stabilise throughout the day.
It’s one of the reasons so many of our members tell us the afternoon slump disappears once training becomes part of their routine.
Turns out the human body was never really designed for nine hours in an office chair.
